Alex Gets His White Belt

Alex holding his trophy
Watch the video.
Today Alex passed his test for white belt at his TaeKwonDo school "Talium".
He did a great job. I was very impress, even more than with his masters and instructors whom have proven time after time so much patience to deal with all the little kids.

Alex has learned the "Ten closed hand blocks", forward taekwondo kicking: front snap, roundhouse and knee strike and the self defense wrist grab (we have to practice this one a bit more). And he came back home with his new belt, a trophy and a piece of wood he broke with his incredible "fist attack".

Cogratulations son!!

You can watch other of Alex's movies in his vlog.

45 years ago, I was Alex's age. We lived on a small farm in Michigan. We had no TaeKwonDo... no movies... no video. Few neighbors. I had little outward support for self improvement. What a joy to watch. I almost cried. He's a lucky boy.

"Every day you get this trophy... and control your mind!" Beautiful. Congrats.

We love Alex's class and his teachers. The environment is very friendly always giving them positive encouragement and helping them to understand patience, control, awareness of body and mind and respect for traditions.

We just hope this will leave some good seed in him.
