Just a conversation

Watch the video.
I was surfing the web today and found some really interesting articles and information. These made me reflect about issues that have been on my mind lately.

New technology; where is it taking us? Grassroots media; will it keep grass root? Is it all about "the money"?

So I decided to have a conversation with you or at least share my thoughts... to loosen up the feeling of isolation.

l Love the shot of the tripod.
I think concerns, thought and expressed, are always a healthy way to keep people aware and thinking. I personally think (hope) that the Internet is big enough and affordable enough for all forms of expression. Where not everyone could be a movie director for cinema because of cost and connections, anyone interested can afford to express himself or herself on the Internet. At least the opportunity is there, what the results will be – who knows.
I may be blind or naive – but I don’t see a way where anyone will be able to control the Internet and not allow everyone access. So yes, big business may enter and start to do their thing on the “vlog” front, or some other creation, but it’s like today with Television. You can choose to watch or go find an alternative. The majority of people in the country might do as they do now and go with the flow, but there will always be the rebels, the other thinkers ‘like all vlogers’ who will choose differently than the flow.
A little preachy, sorry. Thanks for the vlog.

Interesting post. On the one hand, we are *all* free to express ourselves as best we can using the skills, tools and technologies available to us.

On the other hand, the Chinese government has clearly demonstrated how access can be controlled by filtering content.

Love what you're doing here escorial. Where in California are you? Are you near LA? Please join us for one of the Meet The Vloggers events. We'd love to meet you and I bet you'd give a great presentation.

I live in Irvine, OC.
I am kind of new at this and feeling a bit disconnected here in "corporate" Irvine.

When and how do you organised these events?

I've seen some of your vlogs and projects and you guys are pros. I am not sure I can apport anything.

I would love to hear more about it anyway so I will visit the "meet the vloggers".

Thanks so much.
